Artist Statement
The emotional tone of this piece reflects the tension between longing and resolve, marked by a stark contrast using a palette of clarity and confusion. The predominantly black and white colors (#000000, #FFFFFF) represent the extremes of the emotional spectrum, while ice blue (#A9D1E8) serves as a quiet field, suggesting serenity amidst urgency. The orange (#FFA500) acts as an accent, illustrating the disruption and urgency of longing. The arrangement features dense clusters on the left (representing resolve) with a more fragmented pattern of broken pixels on the right (longing), emphasizing the collision of these emotions. Broken pixels interrupt the smoother transitions, embodying imperfections and scars of experience.
