Artist Statement
The composition embodies the dualities of relief and dread through a blend of cool and warm colors, capturing an emotional tension. The palette features soft sky and faded gold as the relief elements, while storm gray and near black introduce the sense of dread. The primary collision occurs diagonally from the corner, where the warm indications of relief battle against the cooler oppressive shades, creating a visual dialogue of pressure versus release. The broken pixels introduce imperfection, reflecting the ancient fire's unpredictable nature. This design channels an inward spiral, evoking the concept of chaos within order as the patterns of veil and quiet field intertwine without outlined borders, suggesting movement and fluctuation without literal representation.
