Artist Statement
The emotional tone navigates the dichotomy of nostalgia and progress, enveloping both a longing for the past and an urge to move forward. The palette—deep blacks, electric blues, vibrant magentas, and a hint of lime—invokes both the comforting shadows of memory and the sudden brightness of new opportunities. The design flows with a horizontal wave that mimics a rise and fall pattern, where the top left is dense and darker, suggesting weight and nostalgia, while the bottom right opens up lighter, echoing the drive towards progress. The use of broken pixels creates tension and an overlay of imperfections, embodying the turbulence of emotional layers in the life journey.
