Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a struggle between trust and suspicion. The palette blends soft hues of powder pink and warm white representing trust, contrasted by the depth and density of carbon black and steel gray representing suspicion. This generates a push and pull effect across the grid, with the upper portion soaring in warmth while the lower sinks into darker tones, exemplifying the tension of ‘rising_signal’. The collision occurs diagonally, where lighter colors disrupt the dark swirl, illustrating hope against uncertainty, encapsulated within a ‘blocked_edge’ style. The use of broken pixels introduces subtle disruptions to maintain an organic division between feelings, allowing for a compelling narrative of resilience and fragility.
