Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional dichotomy of softness versus severity by utilizing a palette that juxtaposes warm and muted tones. The upper rows embody softness through a delicate lattice of light colors, creating a gentle atmosphere. Conversely, the lower rows reflect severity, utilizing darker, more saturated hues to evoke a sense of coldness and structure. The main collision occurs at the dividing line between the two emotional states, where elements from both rows intertwine, suggesting a dynamic interaction. The palette promotes an organic evolution from gentle hints of warmth in the top rows to stark contrasts in the bottom, inviting the viewer to experience the tension between light and dark.
