Artist Statement
This artwork explores the tension between strength and vulnerability, using a palette that balances vivid and muted tones. The contrasting colors create a sense of collision, primarily focused in the center with a magnetism that subtly draws the eye outward, representing the complex interplay of protection and exposure. The patterns—constellations for strength and crosshatch for vulnerability—interweave across the grid, where electric blue and lime assert presence against the softer backdrop of magenta and black. Broken pixels disrupt symmetry at the edges, embodying the emotional scars of confrontation and resilience. The layout embodies erosion, highlighting the core against its crumbling boundaries.
