Artist Statement
The emotional tone embodies a struggle between longing and resolve, translating into a visual dichotomy within the grid. The chosen palette of muted green, warm brown, pale skin, cold white, and open blue expresses a tranquil yet tense atmosphere, where warmth and coolness collide. The left side of the square reflects longing through a clustered grid pattern, infused with softer colors that evoke nostalgia and hope. Conversely, the right side embodies resolve with a thread pattern creating a firmer, contrasting structure, dominated by cooler hues. The presence of broken pixels introduces intentional disruptions, emphasizing imperfections and the challenges between emotional states. The primary collision occurs along the center where the dense pixel clusters meet the more ordered thread lines, suggesting a moment of tension and resolution, echoing the seed's themes of conflict and harmony.
