Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional tension between control and surrender through a gradient of dense clusters on one side, easing into quiet space on the opposite side. The chosen palette features ripe green for vitality, acid green for disruption, honey gold as an accent of warmth, deep olive for grounding, and cream for spacious calm. This creates a dialogue where the vibrant groups collide against the lighter, more subdued spaces, evoking feelings of stress vs tranquility. The main contrast occurs in the center, where the colors create an influx of density before softening outward, mimicking the ebb and flow of emotional pressure. The abstract 'door' shape liberates us from literal interpretation, merely suggesting thresholds of emotion.
