Artist Statement

The emotional tone embodies a struggle between defiance and submission, capturing a continuous tension that ebbs and flows across the composition. The black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green palette mixes shades representing somber reflection and hopeful light—dark elements suggest weight and resistance, while lighter ones suggest openness and fragile aspiration. The central contrast is orchestrated with dark colors at the bottom, symbolizing weight, while soft gold and pale green create lighter clusters above, suggesting an attempt to rise and reclaim space in a frame besieged by noise. The arrangement reflects a pattern of falling pixels, hinting at movement from left to right, where edges are soft, allowing for a sense of continuous flow rather than abrupt boundaries. The negative space allows breathing room, echoing the idea of unresolved emotions rather than outright clarity.
