Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a struggle between desire and restraint. The 'hunger_restraint' palette features warm reds and muted creams, embodying the fiery pull of desire juxtaposed with the cool restraint of muted tones. The pattern collides centrally, where warm, saturated hues represent overwhelming desire, pressing against the cooler, subdued grid patterns that symbolize restraint. This creates an emotional push-and-pull, encapsulating both fulfillment and limitation, while broken pixels act as intentional disruptions, adding texture to the narrative of conflict.
