Artist Statement
This piece captures the emotional tension between emptiness and desire, utilizing a palette that blends warm tones with cooler hues. Hot coral and blood orange evoke a sense of longing, while hollow blue and charcoal suggest a sense of restraint and emptiness. The main collision occurs in the center, where the saturated warm colors intersect with cooler, more reserved fields, reflecting the struggle between wanting and being held back. The asymmetrical distribution and broken pixels symbolize interruptions and the imperfect nature of desire against the backdrop of stillness.
