Artist Statement
This composition reflects the emotional dichotomy of envy and gratitude. The palette of muted purples, deep blues, yellows, and oranges expresses warmth against cooler tones, creating a tension that mirrors rising hope against falling fear. The left side employs a structured 'frame' pattern representing gratitude, juxtaposed against disordered 'broken_dots' on the right to signify envy. The deliberate placement of broken pixels creates an interruption in flow, a nod to imperfection while retaining negative space to suggest stillness. This evokes both the weight of unfulfilled desires and the lightness of appreciation.
