Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between vulnerability and strength. The chosen palette of deep reds and muted creams reflects emotional complexity, with strong contrasts between deep shadows (#000000) and more subtle textures (#D8CFC4). The chaotic placement of colors mimics the pattern of falling pixels, suggesting both pressure and an exposed center battling against encroaching chaos. The checker patterns in lighter areas highlight feelings of vulnerability, while the spark patterns convey a solid, dense strength. The dynamic flow from top to bottom establishes a visual narrative of strength emerging from vulnerability, accented by the scattered broken pixels acting as scars and marks of resilience.
