Artist Statement
This composition contrasts strength and vulnerability through a predominance of dark hues encasing light accents. The main collision occurs in the center where pale shades interrupt the dense black border, representing exposure amid protection. The palette of deep blacks and bursts of electric blue, magenta, and signal green embody strength and tension while softer greys hint at vulnerability. This emotional balance, along with the deliberate broken pixels, conveys a story of collision and interaction between the oppressive and the delicate.
