Artist Statement
This abstract piece explores the tension between relief and dread through a palette of pale mint, storm gray, and faded gold. The heavy dark mass in the top left represents dread, characterized by dense overlaps of storm gray and near black, while the barcodes of pale mint in the lower right evoke relief. The collision occurs at the seam, where dark and light fight for dominance, creating an emotional push and pull reflecting the seed's themes of pressure and chaos. Broken pixels disrupt the orderly constructs, enhancing the sense of imperfection and turmoil.
