Artist Statement
This composition reflects the tension between longing and resolve through the use of warm and cool color contrasts. I selected a palette of muted purple and deep blue to signify depth and reflective calm, interspersed with bright yellow and orange for moments of emotional desire and intensity. The piece incorporates a central quiet space, surrounded by dense clusters, emphasizing the push and pull of these emotions. The maze-like arrangement of shapes and forms lends to the sense of chaos, while the threshold patterns signify moments of decision and clarity. The main collision occurs in the halo of intense colors that encircle the center, resonating with the themes of circular motion and emotional oscillation.
