Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional juxtaposition of confusion and clarity through color and pixel arrangement. The palette of pink, red, gray, and dark maroon reflects the emotional tones of love and betrayal, where shades of gray symbolize confusion and darker tones signify clarity and intensity. The outer border, representing confusion, employs a dense cluster with uneven placements, while the inner 4x4 grid uses a clearer pattern to evoke clarity. The collision happens where darker shades meet the pink cores, symbolizing a struggle between the two emotions, enhanced by broken pixels that disrupt the flow and add a sense of imperfection, embodying the inherent tension of the theme.
