Artist Statement
The piece encapsulates a dual emotional landscape of longing and resolve through intersecting patterns. The deep teal symbolizes longing with its cool hue, while vivid cold gold represents the firm axis of resolve, creating a stark visual contrast. A quiet black forms the negative space, allowing the two emotional states to oscillate against each other, with a structured central collision. The diamond shape seed influences the geometric arrangement, resulting in interwoven textures of braid and spark patterns that evoke a push and pull between density and emptiness throughout the grid.
