Artist Statement
The emotional tone captures the push and pull between vulnerability and strength. The palette of red, pale blue, black, and white reflects conflict: the strong contrast of the warm red and black represents strength, while the cool pale blue and white allude to vulnerability. The central area showcases a dense grouping of the red, demonstrating strength, while the lighter hues sweep in from the edges, creating a sense of exposure. Broken pixels sporadically disrupt the pattern, adding layers of imperfection that echo the theme of resilience against vulnerability. The rhythm flows in a spiral, symbolizing the oscillation between protecting and exposing — a dance between emotional states in tension.
