Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional contrast of confusion versus clarity through its color placement and pattern choice. The warm tones of burnt orange and dark red create pressure while contrasting with the cooler, more muted tones of charcoal. The 'frame and core' layout showcases a strong boundary, where the outer layers radiate warmth but are ultimately disrupted by chaotic striped patterns in the core, creating a sense of collision. This reflects the tension between conflicting emotions and their release, subtly hinting at the transformative power of contrasting feelings.
