Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between fear and hope. The colors of black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green were chosen to represent the darkness of fear contrasted with the light of hope. The central row features softer tones that create a 'glow' effect, symbolizing hope, while darker hues frame it, depicting confinement and pressure. The layout rises from a base of heavy colors to lighter ones, suggesting an upward journey from fear to hope. The presence of broken pixels introduces imperfection and adds depth, reinforcing the complexity of emotions.
