Artist Statement
The emotional tone juxtaposes awe with terror, where both feelings collide and create an unsettling harmony. The selected palette, combining pink, red, gray, and dark maroon, suggests warmth intertwined with intensity, evoking both love and betrayal. The layout is intentionally sparse, embodying an empty room with bursts of color that oscillate between vertical softness and chaotic crosshatching. The main contrast occurs in the center, where red and dark maroon battle against grays, highlighting instability amidst order. The arrangement mimics a wave, drawing attention to the simultaneous beauty and fear of the overarching themes of the seed.
