Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a tension between desire and emptiness, illustrated by the contrasting palette of deep blacks and vibrant reds against pale blues and whites. The upward movement of one side signifies aspiration while the downward movement of the other embodies weight and void. The grid pattern created by the reds symbolizes desire, while the cracks introduced by muted blacks and whites illustrate feelings of fragmentation. This arrangement encapsulates a chaotic interplay where hope collides with despair.
