Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional clash between control and panic, reflected through careful color placement and dynamic patterns. The 'love_betrayal' palette of pinks and maroons creates a sense of warmth that is disrupted by jagged edges and contrasting blacks and grays, echoing the conflict between order and chaos. The layout divides the canvas vertically, with fluid patterns representing control on the left and chaotic zigzags signifying panic on the right. There are strategically placed 'broken pixels' to enhance the sense of imperfection, weaving through the color fields to symbolize unease. The resulting visual rhythm suggests an unresolved tension, with the brighter, warmer colors colliding against cooler, darker edges, creating a profound narrative of emotional conflict.
