Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a struggle between control and surrender, with the left side representing contained pressure in muted, dense colors (sepia and tan) while the right side transitions into softer, airy shades (dust gray and faded blue). The main contrast emerges from the boundary where dense clusters of control collide with the lighter, more liberated segments of surrender, emblematic of a balance between pressure and release. The absence of a completely even distribution and the introduction of broken pixels convey an imperfection that echoes the complexity of these emotions.
