Artist Statement
This composition embodies the tension between joy and grief. The warm yellows and oranges symbolize joy, while the deeper blue and muted purple represent grief. The left side is intentionally weighted towards darker shades, suggesting heaviness, while the right employs stripes of bright colors, creating a pulse of joy. The contrast is prominent where the vibrant yellow interacts with the deep blue, evoking a collision of emotions. The broken pixels create an imperfect symmetry, reflecting the fragility of balance between these intense feelings.
