Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional tension between loneliness and connection, represented by a stark contrast in color. The palette features deep navy and black that anchor the outer grid, embodying the weight of loneliness, while subtle tones of dim cyan and a single white dot represent connection at the center. The contrast of the dense outer edges against the minimal inner core mirrors the feelings of being surrounded yet isolated. The abstract layout allows for a burst of energy in the center, hinting at hidden connections and bursts of hope, while broken pixels introduce an element of imperfection and vulnerability inherent in human emotions. The arrangement creates echoes of rhythm, connecting the stark loneliness with glimpses of potential connection.
