Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional tension between envy and gratitude, utilizing a contrasting palette of deep blacks, muted reds, and soft blues to invoke feelings of conflict and resolution. The color placement reflects an argument grid, where the dense center contrasts the sparse edges, evoking feelings of pressure in the middle that gradually dissipates toward the periphery.
