Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between tenderness and rage through a saturated palette of reds and muted blues. The black border suggests confinement, while the bright clusters of red punctuate the darkness, representing bursts of rage trying to break free. The interplay of rigid black edges and soft pale blue creates a push-and-pull dynamic. The main collision occurs at the center, where brighter and darker hues intermix, conveying a struggle between protection (tenderness) and explosion (rage). This resonates with the seed's themes of emotional contrast and unresolved conflict, leaving negative space that invites reflection.
