Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the tension between nostalgia (warm, soft tones) and progress (cold, harsh contrasts). The chosen palette of burnt orange, dark red, charcoal, and gold evokes ancient warmth and primal energy against a backdrop of muted stability. The contrast manifests in the bottom half with heavier, darker colors anchoring the composition, while the upper half embodies lighter textures and a playful rhythm. The drip pattern symbolizes the fluid transition of feelings, with space left to evoke contemplation of past versus future, creating a visual dialogue of pressure and release.
