Artist Statement

This composition explores the tension between control and surrender. The warm & cool colors reflect the duality, with the warmer alarm red and clear white signaling contained pressure, juxtaposed against the cooler mist gray and ink blue that suggest a gentle yielding. The layout rises, creating a dynamic flow that embodies hope while hinting at the overflow of emotions. The overlapping patterns of scar and constellation illustrate the conflict between firm structures and fluid surrender. Broken pixels create intentional disruptions, signifying moments of tension amidst the rising signal. The central collision occurs where the scar pattern encroaches upon the soft constellation, representing the struggle between assertiveness and relaxation in an emotional dance.
