Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between loneliness and connection. The palette of muted reds and grays reflects a complex relationship, using dark maroon to suggest depth and sorrow while pink accents represent fleeting connections. The main contrast occurs in the top-heavy design, where the warmth of the pink is suddenly interrupted by the coldness of darker shades, evoking the feeling of hidden emotions crashing against exposed surfaces.
