Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional tension between longing and resolve. The left half features a patchwork of dark navy and compressed red, symbolizing a sense of urgent energy and unresolved yearnings. The right half, utilizing faint peach and dust gray, evokes a calming resolve and structure, with a serene flow present. The collision occurs in the center, where the deep navy of longing densely interrupts the lighter resolve, representing a dynamic tension where hope and urgency converge. The use of broken pixels within the navy area enhances the theme of repair and damage, offering visual scars against the smoother textures of the peach and gray.
