Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional tension of longing and resolve. The use of dark maroon and red reflects the intensity of resolve while the softer pink introduces a sense of longing. The heavy contrast in the edge styles creates a feeling of boundaries, with the red mirroring the compressed strength at the borders and the pink ladder pattern, symbolizing longing, flowing within the inner zones.
