Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional dichotomy of longing and resolve, represented through a palette that contrasts dark violet and soft gold against black and pale green. The use of dense clusters of dark colors creates a sense of pressure and unresolved longing, while clear spaces of soft gold provide a fleeting sense of resolve. The pattern of 'broken dots' and 'halo' integrate in a chaotic but deliberate argument grid, representing the collision between emotional states. The central collision occurs through the use of lit edges against a backdrop of contained negative space, embodying an interplay of serenity and urgency.
