Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tone of defiance against submission through color and arrangement. A palette of deep wine and soft gold expresses rich contrast, while rhythms of ash gray and warm ivory evoke a sense of tension. The dominant defiance elements are found in the upper-left diagonal, where darker colors create a bold confrontation. Meanwhile, lighter hues recede towards the bottom right, suggesting submission.
