Artist Statement
The emotional tone plays with the juxtaposition of solitude and companionship, expressed through a palette of deep red, stark black, serene pale blue, and crisp white. The contrast is established by heavy blocks of dark colors suggesting weight and isolation on the left, while lighter hues attempt to 'invade' from the right, simulating the struggle between loneliness and connection. The layout, 'corner invasion,' pushes the color from the corner diagonally, creating a sense of movement and intrusion against a backdrop of negative space, symbolizing that yearning for connection amidst solitude. Broken pixels throughout add to the theme of 'broken memory,' reflecting fragments of experiences, enhancing emotional depth without losing abstract integrity.
