Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a tension between loneliness and connection. The chosen palette of deep navy, subtle black, and hints of dim cyan convey an atmosphere of isolation while allowing the sparks of white to represent fleeting connections. The contrasting patterns embody the struggle: stripes (loneliness) suggest division and separation, while the crack-like textures (connection) symbolize brief, disruptive interactions. This interplay creates a sense of pressure and release, evident in the placement of dim colors heavier at the top to signify weight, descending into lighter hues that break through, highlighting hidden moments of connectivity. The arrangement evokes an emotional narrative of yearning and brief bursts of hope within isolation and struggle.
