Artist Statement
This composition contrasts the awe of expansive calm with the chaotic terror of disruption. Using a palette of warm yellows and oranges alongside deep blues and muted purples, the colors reflect joy and grief, creating a visual narrative of emotional conflict. The left side features cooler, more stable colors that evoke a sense of order, arranged in a rainfall pattern symbolizing awe. The right side, filled with aggressive ring patterns in warmer hues, visually expresses chaos and terror. Broken pixels create a sense of imperfection, reinforcing the theme of disruption. The symmetry is disrupted in nuanced ways, suggesting a delicate balance between these opposing emotions.
