Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional clash between defiance and submission through color and placement. The left half, representing defiance, is stark with deep blacks and striking electric blues, creating an aggressive and unyielding atmosphere punctuated by jagged crack patterns. The right half, evoking submission, features softer, muted tones of magenta and lime arranged in static patterns that recede into quiet spaces. The main contrast occurs at the vertical center, where these two emotional states collide, reflecting the inner struggle of opposing forces. The shape seed of a bridge is abstractly suggested through the interplay of the crisscrossing pixel arrangements, evoking connection amidst conflict.
