Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional dichotomy of defiance and submission through stark contrasts and disrupted patterns. The chosen palette of lime, black, electric blue, and magenta creates a vibrant tension, with lime as the dominant color signifying defiance, complemented by black to represent submission. The core contrast occurs at the center where bright colors clash against darker tones, mirroring the struggle between the two emotions. The 'ladder' pattern evokes a sense of rising tension, while 'crack' introduces interruptions, suggesting vulnerability in strength.
