Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional tension between control and surrender through a dynamic interplay of dark and light tones. The dominant use of deep black and blue represents containment and control, while the pale yellow and new leaf colors signify surrender and release. The layout features a narrow channel of negative space that interrupts the dense clusters of color, creating a pulse of movement and inviting the viewer to navigate the contrasting emotional flows. The broken pixels introduce imperfections that reflect the unpredictability inherent in the struggle between structure and fluidity, emphasizing the balance and collision indicated by the seed.
