Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional conflict between fear and hope. The left side, in darker shades of black and dark violet, conveys a sense of fear through a jagged pattern and dense placements, suggesting pressure and noise. The right side contrasts with a soft gold and pale green gradient that evokes the glow of hope, represented through a teething pattern that flows upward. The central interruption, where dark collides with light, symbolizes the critical boundary between these emotions, creating a visual narrative of struggle and aspiration. The chosen palette enhances the tension between warmth and coolness, accentuated by the broken pixels that introduce subtle imperfections, representing the fracturing paths of our inner fears and hopes.
