Artist Statement
This piece conveys the emotional tension between control and surrender. The color palette, 'gratitude_envy,' captures the interplay of muted deep olive and bursts of honey gold. The composition reflects a mirrored but imperfect echo, where the denser colors signify control (a feeling of confinement) on the left, while the lighter, more open fields suggest surrender on the right. There is a dominant presence of the control emotion in the center, creating a focal point, disrupted by lighter accents that signify moments of release. The interplay between the patterns 'ash_field' and 'echo' further emphasizes this clash. The design intent is to evoke a balance yet unresolved tension between the two emotional states.
