Artist Statement
This piece embodies the duality of joy and grief through contrasting color fields. The top half is a radiant grid, representing joy with bright yellows and oranges, symbolizing expansion and warmth. In contrast, the lower half showcases muted blues and purples, reflecting the heaviness of grief with a stair pattern that suggests descent. The zigzag movements within the patterns create an echo of rising signals, suggesting a struggle between order and chaos.
