Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between joy and grief. The top section represents joy with vibrant yellows and warm oranges, creating a spark-like pattern that feels open. The bottom half expresses grief through muted purples and deep blues arranged in labyrinth-like mazes, conveying a sense of weight and heaviness. The juxtaposition of light against dark creates a rhythmic collision, emphasizing the interplay between exposure and concealment, aligning with the seed's themes of hidden emotions and ancient fires. Spaces left intentionally to evoke quietness amidst the emotional turbulence.
