Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional conflict between panic and control, as reflected in the chaotic arrangement of colors. The chosen palette contrasts warm yellows and oranges with deeper, muted blues and purples, suggesting the struggle between high energy and stability. The main collision occurs in the top-left and bottom-right corners where bright, warm colors clash with cooler, subdued ones, representing the tension between light and dark emotions. The pattern resembles a maze, symbolizing the feelings of control in chaos and the cyclical nature of panic as it pulls outward from the center like sparks in an empty room.
