Artist Statement
The emotional tone captures the struggle between feelings of loneliness and connection. I chose a palette of deep blacks to represent isolation contrasted with vibrant reds and pale blues symbolizing connection. The main collision arises from the stark division of dark and light colors, suggesting both distance and beckoning warmth. The patterns reflect a burst of energy within the constraints of an otherwise rigid grid, evoking moments of interruption and seed-like growth at the center.
