Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional dichotomy of desire and restraint, using a palette that juxtaposes vibrant and muted colors. The brighter hues, like hot coral and blood orange, evoke a sense of yearning, while the cooler tones of charcoal and hollow blue provide a structure of containment. The layout features a corner invasion, with desire radiating from the lower left corner, creating an impression of overflowing emotion that confronts the more muted lattice of restraint.
