Artist Statement
This piece captures the emotional dichotomy of vulnerability and strength through contrasting colors and patterns. The palette of ripe greens and deep olives represents strength, while the soft creams and honey golds embody vulnerability. A dominant rain pattern interrupts the ash field texture, creating visual tension at the center. The collision between the two pattern types at the center signifies the struggle between strength and vulnerability. Broken pixels scattered throughout signify imperfections and disruptions, adding depth to the emotional narrative.
